Zechariah and Elizabeth were truly good people before God. They did everything the Lord (God) commanded and told people to do. They were without fault.


The non-Jews are not circumcised. But if they do what the law says, then it is like they were circumcised.


So do we destroy the law by following the way of faith? No! Faith causes us to be what the law truly wants.


Some people think that we live in a worldly way. I plan to be very bold against those people when I come. I beg you that when I come I will not need to use that same boldness \{with you\}.


We do live in the world. But we don’t fight in the same way that the world fights.


So I tell you: Live by following the Spirit. {\cf2\super [71]} Then you will not do the evil things your sinful selves want.


But now Christ has made you God’s friends again. Christ did this by his death while he was in his body. Christ did this so that he could bring you before God. He brings you before God as people who are holy, {\cf2\super [6]} with no wrong in you, and with nothing that God can judge you guilty of.


You have come to the meeting of God’s firstborn {\cf2\super [167]} children. Their names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all people. And you have come to the spirits of good people who have been made perfect.


Dear friends, now we are children of God. We have not yet been shown what we will be in the future. But we know that when Christ comes again, we will be like him. We will see him like he really is.


These people were not guilty of telling lies. They are without fault.
