Jesus said, “Only you can know the secret truth about the kingdom of God. But to those other people I tell everything by using stories.


Then Jesus said to his followers, “And who do you say I am?”


Martha answered, “Yes, Lord. I believe that you are the Christ, {\cf2\super [177]} the Son of God. You are the One that was coming to the world.”


The people said to the woman, “First we believed in Jesus because of what you told us. But now we believe because we heard him ourselves. We know now that he really is the one that will save the world.”


Simon Peter answered Jesus, “Lord, where would we go? You have the things that give life forever.


We believe in you. We know that you are the Holy One from God.”


While they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The officer said, “Look! Here is water! What is stopping me from being baptized {\cf2\super [180]} ?”


Soon he began to go to the synagogues {\cf2\super [193]} and tell people about Jesus. He told the people, “Jesus is the Son of God!”


That stone (Jesus) is worth much to you people who believe. But to the people who don’t believe, he is:


If a person says, “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God,” then God lives in that person. And that person lives in God.
