But if a fool asks a stupid question, then you should give him a stupid answer or he will think he is very smart.


Then the officials asked Baruch a question. They said, “Tell us, Baruch, where did you get these messages that you wrote on the scroll? Did you write down the things Jeremiah spoke to you?”


The teachers of the law and the Pharisees {\cf2\super [112]} were watching Jesus closely. They were waiting to see if he would heal on the Sabbath day. They wanted to see Jesus do something wrong so that they could accuse him.


The people asked, “What happened? How did you get your sight?”


So now the Pharisees asked the man, “How did you get your sight?”


The man answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. But I do know this: I was blind, and now I can see.”


The man answered, “I have already told you that. But you would not listen to me. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his followers too?”
