Sarah said to Abraham, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son. Send them away! When we die, our son Isaac will get everything we have. I don’t want that slave woman’s son sharing those things with my son Isaac!”


But if the ruler gives a gift from part of his land to one of his slaves, the gift will belong to the slave only until the year of freedom. {\cf2\super [460]} Then the gift will go back to the ruler. Only the ruler’s sons will keep a gift of land from the ruler.


But the father said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me. All that I have is yours too.


Your old sinful self has died, and your new life is kept with Christ in God.


But Jesus lives forever. He will never stop serving as priest.
