Joab had ten young soldiers who helped him in battle. These ten men gathered around Absalom and killed him.


So Joab blew a trumpet, and his people stopped chasing the Israelites. They did not try to fight the Israelites any more.


Then the woman spoke very wisely to all the people of the city. The people cut off the head of Sheba son of Bicri. Then the people threw Sheba’s head over the city wall to Joab.


And \{in a war\}, if the trumpet does not sound clearly, then the soldiers will not know it is time to prepare for fighting.


The people of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead. So they all went back home.
