Asa did the good things that the Lord said are right, like his ancestor [183] David did.


The high places {\cf2\super [191]} were not removed from Judah, but Asa’s heart was faithful to the Lord all of Asa’s life.


Jehoshaphat ruled over the country of Judah. Jehoshaphat was 35 years old when he began to rule. He ruled 25 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah. Azubah was Shilhi’s daughter.


But the high places {\cf2\super [236]} were not taken away. And the people didn’t turn their hearts to follow the God their ancestors {\cf2\super [237]} followed.


Why? Because I obeyed the Lord!\par I did not sin against my God.\par


His words are only worthless lies.\par He does not become wise\par or learn to do good.\par
