Another time, David was in the fortress, [152] and a group of Philistines soldiers was in Bethlehem.


When David got up in the morning, the Lord’s word came to Gad, David’s seer [159] .


Another time, David was in the fortress, {\cf2\super [121]} and a group of Philistine soldiers was in Bethlehem.


The things that King David did, from beginning to end, are in the books written by Samuel the seer, {\cf2\super [330]} Nathan the prophet {\cf2\super [331]} , and Gad the seer.


King Hezekiah put the Levites in the Lord’s temple {\cf2\super [351]} with cymbals, {\cf2\super [352]} harps, and lyres {\cf2\super [353]} the way David, Gad the king’s seer, {\cf2\super [354]} and Nathan the prophet had commanded. This command came from the Lord through his prophets.


God, you are my God.\par And I want you so much.\par My soul and my body thirst for you,\par like a dry, weary land with no water.\par


So David left his parents with the king of Moab. David’s parents stayed with the king of Moab as long as David was at the fort.
