Huram [67] made two bronze [68] columns. Each column was 18 cubits [69] tall and 12 cubits [70] around. The columns were hollow and the metal was 3 inches [71] thick.


Then he made two nets of chains to cover the capitals on top of the two columns.


Then they made the five posts and the hooks {for this curtain over the entrance}. They covered the tops of the posts and the curtain rods [397] with gold. And they made the five bronze [398] bases for the posts.


The bases for the posts were made from bronze [430] . The hooks and the curtain rods [431] were made from silver. The tops of the posts were covered with silver also. All the posts in the courtyard had silver curtain rods.


The curtain was supported by four posts and four bronze [435] bases. The hooks on the posts were made from silver. The tops on the posts were covered with silver, and the curtain rods [436] were also made from silver.


The other 50 pounds [448] of silver was used to make the hooks, the curtain rods, [449] and the silver covering for the posts.


The bronze capital on top of the first pillar was 7 1/2 feet {\cf2\super [442]} high. It was decorated with a net design and bronze pomegranates {\cf2\super [443]} all around it. The other pillar had pomegranates too. It was like the first pillar.
