They that render evil for good, have detracted me, because I followed goodness.


He that hath mercy on the poor, lendeth to the Lord: and he will repay him.


He longeth and desireth all the day: but he that is just, will give, and will not cease.


In the morning sow thy seed, and In the evening let not thy hand cease: for thou knowest not which may rather spring up, this or that: and if both together, it shall be the better.


And whosoever will force thee one mile, go with him other two,


But yet that which remaineth, give alms; and behold, all things are clean unto you.


But if thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat; if he thirst, give him to drink. For, doing this, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.


And do not forget to do good, and to impart; for by such sacrifices God's favour is obtained.


For God is not unjust, that he should forget your work, and the love which you have shewn in his name, you who have ministered, and do minister to the saints.


Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.
