So we fasted and pleaded with our God about this, and he was receptive to our prayer.


Even if he kills me, I will hope in him. I will still defend  my ways before him.


I have instructed you today #– #even you – so that your confidence may be in the  Lord.


Don’t wear yourself out to get rich; because you know better, stop!


The one who trusts in himself  is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.


Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.


Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the Lord, the  Lord  himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.’


I know,  Lord, that a person’s way of life is not his own; no one who walks determines his own steps.


‘ “This is what the Lord says: The wise person should not boast in his wisdom; the strong should not boast in his strength; the wealthy should not boast in his wealth.


Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days. They would camp at the Lord’s command and set out at the Lord’s command.


Whether it was two days, a month, or longer,  the Israelites camped and did not set out as long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle. But when it was lifted, they set out.


Live in harmony with one another.  Do not be proud;  instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.


so that we who had already put our hope  in Christ might bring praise to his glory.
