A wise son responds to his father’s discipline, but a mocker doesn’t listen to rebuke.


A fool despises his father’s discipline, but a person who accepts correction is sensible.


An evil person desires only rebellion; a cruel messenger  , will be sent against him.


Whoever conceals an offence promotes love, but whoever gossips about it separates friends.


Strike a mocker, and the inexperienced learn a lesson; rebuke the discerning, and he gains knowledge.


Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with grain, you will not separate his foolishness from him.


A servant cannot be disciplined by words; though he understands, he doesn’t respond.


As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline.   So be zealous and repent.
