The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday.
Brothers and sisters, don’t be childish in your thinking, but be infants in regard to evil and adult in your thinking.
Now as you excel in everything #– #in faith, speech, knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love for us #– #excel also in this act of grace.
For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator.
And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for everyone, just as we do for you.
Additionally then, brothers and sisters, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received instruction from us on how you should live and please God #– #as you are doing #– #do this even more.
We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, since your faith is flourishing and the love each one of you has for one another is increasing.
I pray that your participation in the faith may become effective through knowing every good thing that is in us for the glory of Christ.
But solid food is for the mature #– #for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.
Since you have purified yourselves by your obedience to the truth, so that you show sincere brotherly love for each other, from a pure heart love one another constantly, ,
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. ,
