Then Amaziah said to the man of God, ‘What should I do about the 3.5 tonnes of silver I gave to Israel’s division? ’ The man of God replied, ‘The Lord is able to give you much more than this.’


The disciples said to him, ‘Where could we get enough bread in this desolate place  to feed such a crowd? ’


He answered, ‘It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’   ,


‘Therefore I tell you:   Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?


Can any of you add one moment to his lifespan   by worrying?


The Lord  answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things,


Whenever   they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities,   don’t worry   about how you should defend   yourselves or what you should say.


Then he said to his disciples, ‘Therefore I tell you,   don’t worry about your life, what you will eat; or about the body, what you will wear.


Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious.


Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
