He asked me, ‘What do you see? ’ I replied, ‘I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top. The lampstand also has seven lamps at the top with seven spouts for each of the lamps.
‘Speak to Aaron and tell him: When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light in front of the lampstand.’
He also said to them, ‘Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?
‘No one lights a lamp and puts it in the cellar or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see its light.
If, therefore, your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be entirely illuminated, as when a lamp shines its light on you.’
