Don’t take a travelling bag for the road, or an extra shirt, sandals, or staff, for the worker   is worthy of his food.


‘I baptise you with  water for repentance,  but the one who is coming after me is more powerful than I. I am not worthy to remove  his sandals. He himself will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.


He said to them, ‘Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that place.


He instructed them to take nothing for the road except a staff #– #no bread, no travelling bag,  no money in their belts,


‘Get dressed,’ the angel told him, ‘and put on your sandals.’ And he did. ‘Wrap your cloak round you,’ he told him, ‘and follow me.’


and your feet sandalled with readiness for the gospel of peace.
