The man who touches them must be armed with iron and the shaft of a spear. They will be completely burned up on the spot.


You will see, you will rejoice, and you  will flourish like grass; then the Lord’s power will be revealed to his servants, but he will show his wrath against his enemies.


A sound of uproar from the city! A voice from the temple – the voice of the  Lord, paying back his enemies what they deserve!


The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is fierce in   wrath. The Lord takes vengeance against his foes; he is furious with his enemies.


But he will completely destroy Nineveh with an overwhelming flood, and he will chase his enemies into darkness.


The king   was enraged, and he sent out his troops, killed those murderers, and burned down their city.


‘But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, “We don’t want this man to rule over us.”


He will come and kill   those farmers and give the vineyard to others.’ But when they heard this they said, ‘That must never happen! ’


because these are days of vengeance   to fulfil all the things that are written.


They will be killed by the sword   , and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles   , until the times of the Gentiles   are fulfilled.


He is now waiting until his enemies are made his footstool.


Afterwards, the people said to Samuel, ‘Who said that Saul should not  reign over us?  Give us those men so we can kill them! ’
