But the one sown on the good ground #– #this is one who hears and understands the word, who does produce fruit and yields: some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty times what was sown.’


‘The man with two talents also approached. He said, “Master, you gave me two talents. See, I’ve earned two more talents.”


And those like seed sown on good ground hear the word,   welcome it, and produce fruit   thirty, sixty, and a hundred times what was sown.’


He called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas,   and told them, “Engage in business until I come back.”


‘ “Well done, good   servant! ” he told him. “Because you have been faithful   in a very small matter, have authority over ten towns.”


‘So he said to him, “You will be over five towns.”


For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
