‘Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.
He said to them, ‘Why are you afraid, you of little faith? ’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, ‘Have mercy on us, Son of David! ’
‘Woe to you experts in the law! You have taken away the key to knowledge. You didn’t go in yourselves, and you hindered those who were trying to go in.’
Now he told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not give up.
People were bringing infants to him so that he might touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to him. When he came closer, he asked him,
Some of the Pharisees from the crowd told him, ‘Teacher, rebuke your disciples.’
While he was still speaking, someone came from the synagogue leader’s house and said, ‘Your daughter is dead. Don’t bother the teacher any more.’
Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times that it would leave me.
