‘Blessed are your eyes   because they do see, and your ears because they do hear.


Then turning to his disciples he said privately, ‘Blessed are the eyes that see the things you see!


Then  an expert in the law  stood up to test  him, saying, ‘Teacher,  what must I do to inherit eternal life? ’


Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; he saw it   and was glad.’


These all died in faith, although they had not received the things that were promised. But they saw them from a distance,  greeted them, and confessed that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth.


All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised,
