‘Anyone from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside among them who eats any blood,  I will turn  against that person who eats blood and cut him off from his people.


If anyone eats animal fat from a food offering presented to the Lord, the person who eats it is to be cut off from his people.


Wherever you live, you must not eat the blood  of any bird or animal.


How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane  the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?


Some reported to Saul, ‘Look, the troops are sinning against the Lord by eating meat with the blood still in it.’ Saul said, ‘You have been unfaithful. Roll a large stone over here at once.’
