When they measured it by litres,  the person who gathered a lot had no surplus, and the person who gathered a little had no shortage. Each gathered as much as he needed to eat.


‘Now this is the law of the fellowship sacrifice  that someone may present to the Lord:


Any grain offering  that is baked in an oven or prepared in a pan or on a griddle belongs to the priest who presents it; it is his.


At the present time your surplus is available for their need, so that their abundance may in turn meet your need, in order that there may be equality.
