During the seven years of abundance the land produced outstanding harvests.
Understand that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he will give you two days’ worth of bread. Each of you stay where you are; no one is to leave his place on the seventh day.’
On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather on other days.’
I will make them and the area around my hill a blessing: I will send down showers in their season; they will be showers of blessing.
But there will be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land in the seventh year, a Sabbath to the Lord: you are not to sow your field or prune your vineyard.
Whatever the land produces during the Sabbath year can be food for you #– #for yourself, your male or female slave, and the hired worker or foreigner who resides with you.
Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
The Lord will grant you a blessing on your barns and on everything you do; , he will bless you in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
