Lamentations 3:19
9 Tagairtí Cros

So now, our God #– #the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God who keeps his gracious covenant   – do not view lightly all the hardships that have afflicted us, our kings and leaders, our priests and prophets, our ancestors and all your people, from the days of the Assyrian kings  until today.

Remember that my life is but a breath. My eye will never again see anything good.

Why are we just sitting here? Gather together; let’s enter the fortified cities and perish there, for the Lord our God has destroyed   us. He has given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against the  Lord.

Therefore, this is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘I am about to feed this people wormwood  and give them poisonous water to drink.

He filled me with bitterness, satiated me with wormwood.

He has laid siege against me, encircling me with bitterness and hardship.
