Then Abram journeyed by stages to the Negev.


Please take my present that was brought to you, because God has been gracious to me and I have everything I need.’ So Jacob urged him until he accepted.


Therefore I considered it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance the generous gift  you promised, so that it will be ready as a gift and not as an extortion.


He said this about Judah: Lord, hear Judah’s cry and bring him to his people. He fights for his cause  with his own hands, but may you be a help against his foes.


When she arrived, she persuaded Othniel to ask her father for a field. As she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, ‘What can I do for you? ’


This was the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Judah by their clans.
