The assembly will stone them and cut them down with their swords.  They will kill their sons and daughters and burn their houses.


‘If a man commits adultery  with a married woman #– #if he commits adultery with his neighbour’s wife #– #both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.


So her husband, Joseph, being a righteous man,  and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her secretly.


‘Don’t think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish but to fulfil.
