Where are your ancestors now? And do the prophets live for ever?


For the Lord had said to them that they would all die in the wilderness. None of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.


Our ancestors ate the manna  in the wilderness,  just as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’  ,


This is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the manna   your ancestors ate #– #and they died. The one who eats this bread will live for ever.’


Now I want to remind you, although you came to know all these things once and for all, that Jesus  saved a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe;


‘Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give some of the hidden manna.   , I will also give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name   is inscribed that no one knows except the one who receives it.
