Wasn’t it necessary for the Messiah to suffer these things and enter into his glory? ’
He told them, ‘These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you #– #that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.’
His disciples did not understand these things at first. However, when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him.
But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.
But I have told you these things so that when their time comes you will remember that I told them to you. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.
And his disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for your house will consume me. ,
I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, “John baptised with water, but you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit.”
God has fulfilled this for us, their children, by raising up Jesus, as it is written in the second Psalm: You are my Son; today I have become your Father. ,,
