He spoke about trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing out of the wall. He also spoke about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.


Take a cluster of hyssop, dip it in the blood  that is in the basin, and brush the lintel and the two doorposts with some of the blood in the basin. None of you may go out of the door of his house until morning.


A person who is clean is to take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle the tent, all the furnishings, and the people who were there. He is also to sprinkle the one who touched a bone, a grave, a corpse, or a person who had been killed.


they gave him wine  mixed with gall to drink. But when he tasted it, he refused to drink it.


Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge, filled it with sour wine, put it on a stick, and offered him a drink.


But Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.


Someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, fixed it on a stick, offered him a drink,  and said, ‘Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down.’


The soldiers also mocked him. They came offering him sour wine
