Yet God drags away the mighty by his power; when he rises up, they have no assurance of life.

He draweth also the mighty with his power: He riseth up, and no man is sure of life.

Yet [God] prolongs the life of the [wicked] mighty by His power; they rise up when they had despaired of life.

Yet God preserveth the mighty by his power: He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.

They drag away the strong by force; they may get up but without guarantee of survival.

He has pulled down the strong by his strength, and, when he stands up, he will not have trust in his life.

He hath pulled down the strong by his might: and when he standeth up, he shall not trust to his life.

He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows established leaders.

Those in the west are appalled at his fate, while those in the east tremble in horror.

God is wise and all-powerful. Who has opposed him and come out unharmed?

The kings of the earth committed sexual immorality with her, and those who live on the earth became drunk on the wine of her sexual immorality.’
