she called her household servants. ‘Look,’ she said to them, ‘my husband brought a Hebrew man to make fools of us. He came to me so he could sleep with me, and I screamed as loud as I could.


She put Joseph’s garment beside her until his master came home.


but when I screamed for help,  he left his garment beside me and ran outside.’


When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, ‘Is that you, the one ruining Israel? ’


Do not give false testimony against your neighbour.


‘You must not spread a false report. Do not join  the wicked to be a malicious witness.


Truthful lips endure for ever, but a lying tongue, only a moment.


A false witness will not go unpunished, and one who utters lies will not escape.

A lying tongue hates those it crushes, and a flattering mouth causes ruin.


Then the high priest tore his robes and said, ‘He has blasphemed!  Why do we still need witnesses? See, now you’ve heard the blasphemy.
