Hurry up! Run to it, for I cannot do anything until you get there.’ Therefore the name of the city is Zoar.  ,


Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.


Then he said to Jacob, ‘Let me go, for it is daybreak.’ But Jacob said, ‘I will not let you go unless you bless me.’


That is why, still today, the Israelites don’t eat the thigh muscle that is at the hip socket: because he struck Jacob’s hip socket at the thigh muscle.


Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men  of Israel. I will help you’ – this is the  Lord’s declaration. Your Redeemer  is the Holy One of Israel.


This is what the  Lord, the Holy One of Israel  and its Maker, says: ‘Ask me what is to happen to   my sons, and instruct me about the work of my hands.


Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.’


After leaving them, he went away again and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.
