Early in the morning Abraham got up, took bread and a waterskin, put them on Hagar’s shoulders, and sent her and the boy away. She left and wandered in the Wilderness of Beer-sheba.


Therefore that place was called Beer-sheba  , because it was there that the two of them swore an oath.


They replied, ‘We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties #– #between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:


On that same day Isaac’s servants came to tell him about the well they had dug, saying to him, ‘We have found water! ’


Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba  and its surrounding villages;


Do not seek Bethel or go to Gilgal or journey to Beer-sheba, for Gilgal will certainly go into exile, and Bethel will come to nothing.
