Exodus 20:1
11 Tagairtí Cros

You came down on Mount Sinai, and spoke to them from heaven. You gave them impartial ordinances, reliable instructions, and good statutes and commands.

So Moses went down to the people and told them.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

He is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors.  He received living oracles to give to us.

You received the law under the direction of angels  and yet have not kept it.’

Then on the day of the assembly, the Lord wrote on the tablets what had been written previously, the Ten Commandments that he had spoken to you on the mountain from the fire. The Lord gave them to me,

Has a people heard God’s voice speaking from the fire as you have, and lived?

He let you hear his voice from heaven to instruct you.  He showed you his great fire on earth, and you heard his words from the fire.

‘The Lord spoke these commands in a loud voice to your entire assembly from the fire, cloud, and total darkness on the mountain; he added nothing more. He wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me.

The Lord spoke to you face to face from the fire on the mountain.

I am the Lord your God,  who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.
