After this, David defeated the Philistines,  subdued them, and took Metheg-ammah  from Philistine control.  ,


So David did as God commanded him, and they struck down the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.


Then the Israelites went and did this; they did just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.


For the Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim. He will rise in wrath, as at the Valley of Gibeon, to do his work, his unexpected work, and to perform his task, his unfamiliar task.


At that time King Horam of Gezer went to help Lachish,  but Joshua struck him down along with his people, leaving no survivors.
