When  all Israel saw  , that the king had not listened to them, the people answered the king: What portion do we have in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. Israel, each to your tent; David, look after your own house now! So all Israel went to their tents.


The poles were so long that their ends were seen from the holy place  , in front of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen from outside; they are still there today.


Our guilt has been terrible from the days of our ancestors until the present. Because of our iniquities we have been handed over, along with our kings and priests, to the surrounding kings, and to the sword, captivity, plundering, and open shame,  as it is today.


‘Son of man, take a single stick and write on it:  Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him. Then take another stick and write on it: Belonging to Joseph #– #the stick of Ephraim #– #and all the house of Israel associated with him.


They went to the Reubenites, Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, in the land of Gilead, and told them,


Joshua also set up twelve stones in the middle  of the Jordan where the priests who carried the ark of the covenant were standing. The stones are still there today.
