‘Skin for skin! ’ Satan answered the Lord. ‘A man will give up everything he owns in exchange for his life.


He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will continue to see the light.’


My days fly by faster than a runner;  , they flee without seeing any good.


She is a tree of life  to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.


for they will bring you many days, a full life,  , and well-being.


For they are life to those who find them, and health to one’s whole body.


For the one who finds me finds life and obtains favour from the  Lord,


I explored with my mind the pull of wine  on my body #– #my mind still guiding me with wisdom #– #and how to grasp folly,  until I could see what is good for people to do under heaven  during the few days of their lives.


‘Why do you ask me about what is good? ’   he said to him. ‘There is only one who is good.   If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.’


For whoever wants to save   his life will lose it,   but whoever loses   his life   because of me   and the gospel   will save it.


Then Jesus saw Nathanael coming towards him and said about him, ‘Here truly is an Israelite   in whom there is no deceit.’


The one who loves his life will lose it,   and the one who hates   his life   in this world will keep it for eternal life.


For they are not meaningless words to you but they are your life,  and by them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.’


If anyone  thinks he is religious without controlling his tongue,  his religion is useless and he deceives himself.


Therefore, rid yourselves of  all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander.


He did not commit sin,  and no deceit   was found in his mouth;   ,


No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.
