Now the king of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah,  clothed in royal attire, were each sitting on his own throne. They were on the threshing-floor  at the entrance to the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets were prophesying in front of them.


The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, ‘There is still one man who can enquire of the Lord, but I hate him  because he never prophesies good about me,  but only disaster. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.’ ‘The king shouldn’t say that! ’ Jehoshaphat replied.


He looked up towards the window and said, ‘Who is on my side? Who? ’ Two or three eunuchs  looked down at him,


So the king of Israel called an officer and said, ‘Hurry and get Micaiah son of Imlah! ’


“Some of your descendants #– #who come from you, whom you father #– #will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” ’


At the end of the time that the king had said to present them, the chief eunuch presented them to Nebuchadnezzar.
