Let them shine in the firmament of heaven and illuminate the earth." And so it became.
God also said, "Let the land produce living souls in their kind: cattle, and animals, and wild beasts of the earth, according to their species." And so it became.
And God called the firmament 'Heaven.' And it became evening and morning, the second day.
Truly God said: "Let the waters that are under heaven be gathered together into one place; and let the dry land appear." And so it became.
He secures the waters in his clouds, so that they do not burst forth downward all at once.
And he stationed the same for Jacob with a precept, and for Israel with an eternal testament,
Praise him, heavens of the heavens. And let all the waters that are above the heavens
May the Lord hear you in the day of tribulation. May the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
If the clouds have been filled, they will pour forth rain upon the earth. If a tree falls to the south, or to the north, or to whatever direction it may fall, there it shall remain.
Moreover, the men wondered, saying: "What kind of man is this? For even the winds and the sea obey him."
