He wandereth abroad for bread, {\i saying}, Where is it?\par\tab He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.


The increase of his house shall depart;\par\tab {\i His goods} shall flow away in the day of his wrath.


In famine he will redeem thee from death;\par\tab And in war from the power of the sword.


Thou hast seen {\i it}; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand:\par\tab The helpless committeth {\i himself} unto thee;\par\tab Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.


The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;\par\tab He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:\par\tab The desire of the wicked shall perish.


To deliver their soul from death,\par\tab And to keep them alive in famine.


They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil;\par\tab And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.


I have been young, and now am old;\par\tab Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,\par\tab Nor his seed begging bread.


Trust in Jehovah, and do good;\par\tab Dwell in the land, and feed on {\i his} faithfulness.


The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul;\par\tab But the belly of the wicked shall want.\par


The wicked is thrust down in his evil-doing;\par\tab But the righteous hath a refuge in his death.


He that is of a greedy spirit stirreth up strife;\par\tab But he that putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be made fat.


He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,\par\tab Even his prayer is an abomination.


He shall dwell on high; his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks; his bread shall be given {\i him}; his waters shall be sure.\par


Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he will make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the land.\par


Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you.
