And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? a new teaching! with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.


And he arose, and straightway took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.\par


And he awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, {\cf6 Peace, be still.} And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.


And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?\par


And straightway the damsel rose up, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were amazed straightway with a great amazement.


And they went away in the boat to a desert place apart.


And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.\par


They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat: and straightway the boat was at the land whither they were going.\par
