Like the dew of Hermon, That cometh down upon the mountains of Zion: For there the LORD commanded the blessing, Even life for evermore.


My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?


Then will I go unto the altar of God, Unto God my exceeding joy: And upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God.


Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, Who is the health of my countenance, and my God.


From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.


When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.


And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.


And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
