Return unto thy rest, O my soul; For the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.


I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; For I do not forget thy commandments.


He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.


Thou art my hiding place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble; Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah


Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place In all generations.


He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.


The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.


For thus said the Lord GOD the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not,


And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.


All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.


For the shepherds are become brutish, and have not inquired of the LORD: therefore they have not prospered, and all their flocks are scattered.


Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains; and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.


For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not serve; for upon every high hill and under every green tree thou didst bow thyself, playing the harlot.


Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.


Woe unto the shepherds that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.


Truly in vain is the help that is looked for from the hills, the tumult on the mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.


Moreover the LORD said unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.


Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.


Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.


And I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.


Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a wall, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar:


I will feed them with good pasture, and upon the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold, and on fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.


I myself will feed my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD


I will seek that which was lost, and will bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: and the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them in judgement.


but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.


But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.


But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd.


For ye were going astray like sheep; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
