And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,


I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?


For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?


Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her:


Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!


Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and, to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard: and I am come for thy words' sake.


And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bride-chamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.


that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart.


Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.


And if any man desireth to hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man shall desire to hurt them, in this manner must he be killed.
