And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore also, behold, his blood is required.


Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.


If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house:


They reward me evil for good, To the bereaving of my soul.


They run and prepare themselves without my fault: Awake thou to help me, and behold.


Whoso rewardeth evil for good, Evil shall not depart from his house.


Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before thee to speak good for them, to turn away thy fury from them.


And thus, sinning against the brethren, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, ye sin against Christ.


Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.


If one man sin against another, God shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall entreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.


And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore should he be put to death? what hath he done?


Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who among all thy servants is so faithful as David, which is the king's son in law, and is taken into thy council, and is honourable in thine house?
