Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

Over the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth and cover it with a covering of fine leather and put its poles in place,


one golden dish weighing ten shekels, full of incense;


Now at the time of the incense offering, the whole assembly of the people was praying outside.


Who is to condemn? It is Christ who died, or rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.


Consequently, he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.


In it stood the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which there were a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;


And I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun and his legs like pillars of fire.


Then another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over fire, and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Use your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.”


When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.


When he broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered for the word of God and for the testimony they had given;


I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to damage earth and sea,


And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.


Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.


Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar before God,
