then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and grant rain on your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.


You water its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges, softening it with showers, and blessing its growth.


You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with richness.


You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide the people with grain, for so you have prepared it.


Do not deliver the soul of your dove to the wild animals; do not forget the life of your poor forever.


Even though he struck the rock so that water gushed out and torrents overflowed, can he also give bread or provide meat for his people?”


He gives power to the faint and strengthens the powerless.


They assembled against Moses and against Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! All the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. So why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?”

He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and on them he has set the world.
