The Lord says to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”


the God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me,


Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds among mortals.


Then I would quickly subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes.


For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.


The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples.


Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For that is your due; among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is no one like you.


And the Lord will become king over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and his name one.


Cursed be the cheat who has a male in the flock and vows to give it and yet sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished, for I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name is reverenced among the nations.


For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.


Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you, but you shall tread on their backs.”


He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself.


And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors; not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the Lord had given all their enemies into their hands.
