After it his voice roars; he thunders with his majestic voice, and he does not restrain the lightnings when his voice is heard.


God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.


Can you send forth lightnings, so that they may go and say to you, ‘Here we are’?


For the arrows of the Almighty are in me; my spirit drinks their poison; the terrors of God are arrayed against me.


Make the lightning flash and scatter them; send out your arrows and rout them.


For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows.


The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over mighty waters.


The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.


The clouds poured out water; the skies thundered; your arrows flashed on every side.


The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind; your lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook.


And the Lord will cause his majestic voice to be heard and the descending blow of his arm to be seen, in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst and tempest and hailstones.


The Lord utters his voice at the head of his army; how vast is his host! Numberless are those who obey his command. Truly the day of the Lord is great, terrible indeed—who can endure it?
