God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”


Now the serpent was more crafty than any other wild animal that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God say, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden’?”


Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them.


He, however, shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.


They call peoples to the mountain; there they offer the right sacrifices, for they suck the affluence of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand.”
