Do not be fainthearted or fearful at the rumors heard in the land— one year one rumor comes, the next year another, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.


The word of the Lord came to me:


Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness, because of the violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they have shed innocent blood.


The one who breaks out will go up before them; they will break through and pass the gate, going out by it. Their king will pass on before them, the Lord at their head.


And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.


When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come.
